Methodology

Climate TMY: CEY20 thermodynamics, free to view.

Hourly CEY20 2006-2025 representative year at the 0.25 degree land cell of the selected point. Charts, exposure hours and summaries are computed from the same 8760 hourly values as the PDF and CSV downloads. Atmospheric and material modules are not part of Climate TMY.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does the free Climate TMY show?

A CEY20 2006-2025 representative thermodynamic year of 8760 hours for the 0.25 degree land cell of the selected point: air temperature, dew point, relative and absolute humidity and surface pressure, as time series, histograms and joint-duration heatmaps, plus exposure hours.

Are RH80 and RH90 hours included for free?

Yes. Hours with relative humidity of at least 80 % and 90 %, a dew-point spread of at most 2 C, frost and heat hours are counted from the hourly values and shown without an account. The PDF, the result CSV and the complete 8760-hour CSV can be downloaded free of charge after signing in.

Is Climate TMY one observed year or a forecast?

No. Every month comes from a representative year within 2006-2025 and the months form a synthetic non-leap year. It is not an observed calendar year, not a weather forecast and not a service-life or failure prediction.

Does Climate TMY include chloride, corrosion or material results?

No. Climate TMY is thermodynamics only. Atmospheric and material exposure belong to the Environmental products.
