Climetry provides climate exposure intelligence for products, infrastructure, and industrial assets. The website may allow visitors to inspect demo content, analyze locations, request reports, and later purchase automated climate exposure reports.
The frontend is currently intended to be hosted on Vercel. The backend is currently intended to be hosted on Render. These providers may process technical access data such as IP address, request time, URL, browser information, status codes, and diagnostic logs to deliver and secure the service.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in secure, reliable website operation.
When a visitor analyzes a location, Climetry may process coordinates, selected map parameters, climate metrics, and generated report outputs. This data is used to provide the requested climate exposure analysis.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR when requested as part of a service or pre-contractual interaction; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for demo functionality and product improvement.
Creating a Climetry account and signing in is handled by Clerk (Clerk Inc.), our identity provider. Clerk processes your email address and authentication metadata (session tokens, sign-in timestamps, device/browser information used for security) on our behalf as a data processor. We do not receive or store your password - Clerk handles it directly.
Signing in sets a strictly necessary session cookie so you stay signed in between page loads. This is not a tracking or marketing cookie and does not require separate consent under Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR and the ePrivacy exemption for cookies necessary to provide a service you requested.
See Clerk's own privacy policy for details of their processing: https://clerk.com/privacy. Confirm Clerk's EU data residency configuration before relying on this for EU personal data at scale.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract you enter into by creating an account).
Paid products use Stripe Checkout, a hosted payment page operated by Stripe. Payment details (card number, billing address) are entered directly on Stripe's page and processed by Stripe - Climetry never receives or stores full card details. Stripe shares back with us your email, which plan or credit pack you purchased, and payment status, so we can credit your account.
See Stripe's privacy policy for details: https://stripe.com/privacy.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the purchase contract).
Climate summaries, generated reports, and downloadable files may later be stored in Cloudflare R2 or a comparable storage provider. Generated reports may contain submitted coordinates, location names, and analysis results.
Climetry sets one strictly necessary cookie today: the Clerk session cookie described under "Accounts and authentication" above, required for sign-in to work at all. No advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies are set, and none require a consent banner because none exist yet.
If analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or marketing automation are enabled later, this policy and the website consent mechanism must be updated before activation.
Technical logs are retained only as long as necessary for security and troubleshooting. Generated reports and order data are retained as required to provide the service and meet legal accounting obligations. Exact retention periods should be finalized before paid launch.
